The most dangerous item in Therion's arsenal is the beautiful and deadly Mai'im, whose speed, agility, and effectiveness at dispatching those unlucky enough to fall into her sights approaches supernatural.

This beauty in black was brought to the screen by Michelle Grove who wasn't relying on supernatural powers or even special effects, but on the talent, flexibility, and skill she has developed through a lifetime of martial arts training. A serious Martial Artist since the age of 14, Michelle was highly successful in the tournament circuit, competing under the name Michelle Dover.

Michelle was a three-time national finalist in forms and two-time national finalist in fighting in the prestigious Battle of Atlanta. In the Diamond Nationals she was a three-time finalist in both forms and fighting, and a finalist in both forms and fighting at the US Open. Twice she was awarded the title of Grand Champion at the Rocky Mountain Nationals.

Michelle has also been awarded many Grand Champion first place awards for forms, fighting, and musical forms in local and regional competitions. She had the honor of participating in the Jhoon Rhee demonstration team at a special event on the White House lawn and has trained under numerous well-known martial artists including Chuck Norris, Bill "Superfoot" Wallace, Joe Lewis, George Chung, Cynthia Rothrock, Charlie Lee, Steve "Nasty" Anderson, Ernie Reyes and Jhoon Rhee. Beyond the tournament world, Michelle is a highly regarded martial arts teacher and has managed several highly successful schools. She is currently an instructor at Warrior Quest International.

Michelle Grove approaches acting with the same drive and enthusiasm that she has demonstrated in martial arts competition. Skilled at cinematic fighting, acrobatics, high falls, and wire effects, naturally, Michelle did all her own stunts for Dragon and the Hawk.
